This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.
The body is made from 2 different Canxan Negro (Nargusta) burls.
Medium/large sized, it is suited for a 240 gyuto, kiritsuki or 240-270 sujihiki or slicer. It will also work on some 270 gyutos.
Weight 46g Length 140.8mm (5.5”) Handle is sanded to 600 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of Tru-Oil.
Care :
- Handwash with soapy water and towel dry.
- Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
- Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer such as tru-oil as needed.
