Custom Japanese Knife Handle (Wa Handle) - Tasmanian Blackwood and Buffalo Horn

This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with exceptionally high quality Tasmanian Blackwood and Buffalo Horn

Medium sized, it is suited for a 240 Gyuto or similar. 

Weight: 55g, Length: 139mm (5.5")

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Handwash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
