Custom Japanese Kitchen Knife Handle - Dyed Amboyna Burl

This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made from dyed and stabilized Indonesian Amboyna burl.  

Medium sized, it is suited for 240mm Japanese knives. 

Weight: 55g Length: 138mm (5.5”)

Handle is sanded to 600 grit and then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
