Custom Japanese Knife Handle (Wa Handle) - Inlay Dyed Mango Burl and Faux Ivory

This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with a dyed and stabilized Mango burl with faux ivory ferrule and endcap. Bronze and resin spacers

Medium size, it is suited for a 180 - 210 Japanese knife. It can also work on some 240s. 

Weight: 55g, Length: 129.6mm (5 1/8")

Handle is sanded to 800 grit and then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
