This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives. 

Suited for a 240 mm  gyuto or other Japanese knife.

Sinker Cypress :

Sinker cypress is cypress cypress logs that have been submerged in the rivers, bayous,swamps of the southeast region of the U.S. These trees were axe cut during the late 1800’s . many of these logs were axe fallen from virgin forest during the industrial timber harvest from 1880-1920.


Specs:

  • Body: Old growth Bayou sinker cypress
  • Weight: 42 g
  • Length: 131.5 mm   (@ 5 1/8”)
  • Handle is buffed to a natural luster

Use and care - Hand wash and dry - Never put in dishwasher nor leave in hot soapy water. Periodically add Axe Wax or a mix of bees wax / mineral oil, other materials like board butter or walrus oils are also good products as needed.
