Please note:

Japanese knives and Sugi custom handles are hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind items and often have slight size variations, colorations, and other aesthetic qualities that are part of their individual appeal. These unique qualities are not considered defects.

Hand-forged Japanese knives are thinner, easier to sharpen, and have greater edge retention than other manufactured knives, and as such require intentional handling. 

Please treat Japanese knives well and do not use them on bones, frozen foods, hard foods, cheeses, or any other hard materials, and do not force or twist a knife into a food, as these actions could damage the knife.

Always hand wash Japanese knives, and *never, ever* put them in the dishwasher. Ever. 

Returns

Start a return, please contact us within 14 days of the date of delivery at:

All returned items must be in the original condition and in the complete original packing in order to be accepted and credited.

If there are signs of misuse, or if there is other post-purchase damage on the product such as rust, scratching, or honing, we will likely be unable to accept your return.

• Returns are accepted on the purchase price of new and unused items, within 14 days of the delivery date. Refunds will be be applied to the original method of payment
• Shipping costs and transaction fees are not refundable. If free shipping was used, the original shipping costs will be deducted from the refund valuE
• Knives cannot have been used in any capacity
• A restocking fee up to 10% may be applied
• Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Please use a trackable shipping service and consider purchasing shipping insurance and Signature Confirmation for returns.
• Customers have the option to insure/require a signature for their packages at checkout, therefore we are not responsible for replacing lost, stolen, or damaged products during shipment caused by the courier. This is not included in shipping, but available additionally at the customer's discretion

Final Sale Items
Sale items and reduced priced items are final sale, with no refunds.  

Custom orders, unless determined to be defective, are final sale, with no refunds.
