Custom Japanese Knife Handle (Wa Handle) - Inlay Dyed Mango Burl with Turquoise and Faux Ivory

This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with a dyed and stabilized Mango burl with faux ivory ferrule and endcap. Turquoise and nickel silver spacers

Medium sized, it is suited for a 240 and some 270 Japanese knives. It’s got some weight to it. 

Weight: 63g, Length: 139mm (5.5)

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Handwash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
