Japanese Knife Handle (Wa Handle) - Hybrid Purple Dyed Box Elder with Resin

This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with dyed Box Elder burl and resin.

Medium size, it is suited for a 195-210 Japanese knives. It’s fairly heavy so it will work on some 240s. 

Weight: 60g, Length: 131.7mm (5.125")

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time. Ever!
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer such as tru-oil as needed.
