 About the sharpener and process

Kenneth Langdon began sharpening in 2020 and hasn't slowed down since. He has a sizable collection of Japanese whetstones ranging from 200 to 12000 grit. For this service, he will only be using stones to sharpen and thin your knives. He can sharpen any type of steel and prefers a finished edge in the 3k grit range. He also collects Japanese + Western kitchen knives and is an avid home cook. Any questions can be emailed to kenneths.sharpening@gmail.com

Case by case basis. Usually done in association with thinning to homogenize knife aesthetics. Hand sanding to remove old scratches or bring out the luster of knives. Very manual process. Can also include coffee / or acid etch to bring out contrast in knives.
