Master Blacksmith Sunio Kawamura San is one of the great smiths out of Niigata, Sanjo City using old traditional methods. These knives are really sweet, a bit taller and longer with a thick spine and great distal taper. Expect great cutting and food release. Black Cocobolo Burl is an ancient burl that was buried in the ground for 1-4 centuries. The mud and water give it a dark hue that resembles Brazilian rosewood.
