This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.
The body is from a beautiful piece of Tasmanian Boluke collected from a salvaged stump. The ferrule is Buffalo horn with turquoise recon stone.
Medium sized, it is suited for 240 mm Japanese culinary knives.

Handle is sanded to 600 grit and then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.
Care :
- Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
- Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
- Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
