This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made from a pink and purple yes box elder 

suited for a 165 -  210 mm Japanese knife. This handle is a little heavy for its size, so it may affect the balance of lighter blades

Weight 60g Length 129.5 mm  (5 1/8”)

Handle is sanded to 600 grit and then coated in 5-6 coats of Tru-Oil.

Use and care - Hand wash and dry - Never put in dishwasher nor leave in hot soapy water.
