This is an shield Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with stabilized box elder burl

Note : the resin is translucent which shows the hidden dowel. As such, I reduced the price. 

Suited for a 165-210 mm  gyuto or other Japanese knife.

Weight 53g Length 131 mm   (5 1/8”)

Handle is buffed and sealed 

Use and care - Hand wash and dry - Never put in dishwasher nor leave in hot soapy water.
